Steps

Step 1 – Open the Print Services Product
  1. Navigate to Settings → Products.
  2. Locate and select Print Services.
  3. Open the product and review the Configure Pricing page.

This product uses shopVOX's Grid UI (Grid User Interface) for pricing management.

Step 2 – Review the 3D Pricing Grid
  1. Navigate to the Configure Pricing section.
  2. Confirm that the product is configured as a 3D Grid.
  3. Review the three pricing dimensions used by the grid.

The three data points are:

  • Quantity
  • Sides
  • Paper Stock

Each combination produces a unique selling price.

Step 3 – Understand Pricing Columns
  1. Review the available grid options at the top of the pricing table.
  2. Enable Show Cost Column if needed.
  3. Review the pricing data within the spreadsheet.

The columns serve the following purposes:

  • Cost Column = Internal production cost per print.
  • Unit Price Column = Selling price charged to the customer.

Maintaining both values helps ensure accurate margins and profitability.

Step 4 – Configure Quantity Breakpoints
  1. Locate the Use Quantity Breakpoints option.
  2. Verify that the setting is enabled.
  3. Review the quantity tiers configured within the pricing grid.

Quantity breakpoints allow pricing to adjust based on print volume.

Examples:

  • 1–99 copies
  • 100–499 copies
  • 500–999 copies
  • 1,000+ copies

Higher quantities can receive different pricing automatically.

Step 5 – Export and Update Pricing
  1. Click Export Grid.
  2. Download the pricing spreadsheet.
  3. Open the exported file in Excel.
  4. Update pricing and cost values as needed.
  5. Save the file.
  6. Re-import the updated file back into shopVOX.

This process is often faster than manually updating grid values within the product.

Step 6 – Add the Product to a Quote
  1. Create or open a quote.
  2. Add the Print Services product.
  3. Review the available options.

Because Quantity is already part of the pricing grid, you will only be prompted to select:

  • Sides
  • Paper Stock
Step 7 – Review Calculated Pricing
  1. Verify the quantity entered.
  2. Confirm the selected paper stock and side count.
  3. Review the automatically calculated price.

Example:

  • 100 Copies
  • Single-Sided
  • Letter Paper
  • Unit Price: $0.11
  • Total Price: $11.00

The system calculates the final amount based on the configured pricing grid.
