Transaction Numbers Settings

shopVOX order numbers are created only by shopVOX itself. Other systems, like a Shopify Sales Order, can't change or determine the shopVOX order number. Or any other transaction number. It's all done within shopVOX to keep things accurate and straightforward, ensuring each order gets a unique and reliable identifier.

The shopVOX Transaction Numbers, through the API, cannot be altered to match transaction numbers from external systems.

To change the starting number for each of your transaction types, go to Settings on the top menu bar

On the side menu, select Accounting, then Transaction Numbers

A dialogue box will appear, with information about Transaction Numbers

  1. Select the check box, if you would like your Sales Order numbers to match your Invoice numbers
  2. Click Edit Transaction Number to edit your Transaction Numbers
  3. Shows all your current Transactions, and the associated next transaction number in series

This is the Edit Transaction Number screen. On your left are the types of transactions. In the middle is the next transaction number, and on the far right is the new next number.

Enter in the "new next number" of your choosing and click "Update Transaction Numbers Settings" to commit your changes to the system.
