The Panels UI in shopVOX Pro provides an efficient way to price products made up of multiple components or customizable elements. This guide will walk you through the steps to set up a product using the Panels UI, enabling you to create detailed pricing structures tailored to your needs.

Step 1: Initial Product Setup

  1. Navigate to the Products section in your shopVOX Pro dashboard.
  2. Click the Green Plus (+) icon to create a new product.
  3. Select Create a Custom Product from the options.
  4. Fill in the details for your custom product and set the interface to "Panel".
  5. Click Save Product to finalize the initial setup.

Step 2: Enabling Product Template Options

  1. After saving your product, enable the following options:
    • Add Product Template
    • Show Panel Description on Customer PDF

These settings will allow detailed customization and clear communication with your customers.

Step 3: Configuring Panels

  1. Scroll to the Product Template section, where you will see options for Panels, along with familiar elements like Modifiers, Dropdown Menus, and Default Items.
  2. Within the Panels section, click +Add New to introduce different components of your product.
  3. On the Add New Panel screen:
    • Provide a descriptive name for the panel.
    • Select an appropriate formula (e.g., area, units) based on the component's measurement.
    • Set the Multiplier to 1.
  4. Add materials for your panel:
    • Click the + Symbol next to "Materials."
    • Select the desired materials from your list.
  5. Click Save to store the panel configuration.

Step 4: Checking Pricing

  1. After configuring the panel, scroll to the top of the page and click Check Pricing.
  2. Add panel items by clicking +Add Panel Item and filling in the following details:
    • Name
    • Quantity
    • Width
    • Height
    • Selected Material
  3. Repeat the process to add multiple panel items (e.g., additional walls or components).

The Panels UI’s flexibility allows you to add as many components as needed, making it ideal for products with varying elements.

Step 5: Publishing and Testing

  1. New products are initially saved in Draft Mode. To make the product available for use:
    • Click the Blue Action Button and select Publish Product.
  2. Create a new Quote and test your Panel product:
    • Add the product to a Quote.
    • Download the PDF from the Quote screen to review the output.

Final Output

The selected components and their details will appear clearly on the the generated PDF document. This breakdown ensures transparency and accuracy for your customers.
