Configure Notifications for Enhanced Communication in shopVOX

In shopVOX, you have the ability to configure Notifications, a valuable feature that keeps individuals or designated groups informed about specific events taking place within the system. Whether you aim to keep your entire team updated or selectively notify a few key individuals, the flexibility of enabling or disabling Notifications allows you to customize this functionality to align with the specific needs of your shop.

With shopVOX Notifications, you can:

1. Stay Informed: Receive timely alerts about important events occurring within the system, ensuring you are kept up-to-date with relevant information.

2. Customize Recipients: Choose whether Notifications are sent to the entire team or only specific individuals or groups, ensuring that the right people receive the necessary updates.

Choose "Settings" from the top toolbar

Select "Notifications" from the sidebar

The Notifications screen will provide many events that you can customize.

Let's walk through one example to demonstrate. All other Notifications will work in the same way

"Transactions" is the first event

  1. Note Created: Turn the button on, to be notified when a Note is created in a Transaction
  2. Notify: Select who you want to be notified when a Note is created in a Transaction
  3. Email: Select Email, if you want to be notified about the Transaction in an email
  4. In-App: Select In-App, if you want to be notified about the Transaction with a pop-up notification in the shopVOX app

Let's see this configured:

  1. Note Created: The button is on, a notification will go out
  2. Notify: The Sales Rep, is the one who will get the notification
  3. Email: There is no email to be sent
  4. In-App: In-App, was selected, so the notification will be within shopVOX

The basic Notification logic can be applied to all your Events. Below is a list you can configure.

FAQs

How do I stop my email inbox from receiving tons of notifications?

It's time to review your notifications and trim some of them down a bit. You'll start to tune out everything if you receive 100 notifications in a day.

We load some defaults for each new account. Those are a good starting point - but don't be afraid to experiment a little.

I'm not receiving any notifications - how can I fix this?

This is most likely because your notifications may not be set up correctly. Check the first column, "Notify". Without this box checked - zero (none, nada, zilch) notifications will be sent for that event.

How can I send automatic notifications to my clients when pre-production is completed? when the job is completed? 

Currently, we don't have a way to automatically update your clients on job status via email.
