Introduction

The Field Installation Golden Product allows you to quickly add installation labor charges to a quote based on hourly rates. This product simplifies quoting installation services by automatically calculating pricing from the number of labor hours entered. Steps

Step 1 – Open the Field Installation Product
  1. Navigate to Settings → Products.
  2. Locate and select Field Install.
  3. Open the Configure Pricing page.

This product is designed to calculate field installation charges using hourly labor rates.

Step 2 – Configure Installation Costs and Pricing
  1. Locate the hourly pricing section on the Configure Pricing page.
  2. Enter your Cost Per Hour.
  3. Enter your desired Price Per Hour or adjust the markup percentage.
  4. Save any changes.

The system will automatically calculate markup based on the values entered.

Example:

  • Cost Per Hour: $75
  • Price Per Hour: $125
Step 3 – Adjust Hourly Rates
  1. Edit the hourly selling price as needed.
  2. Review the resulting markup calculation.
  3. Confirm that the pricing reflects your installation profitability goals.

You can modify either:

  • The hourly selling price
  • The markup percentage

The system will update the corresponding value automatically.

Step 4 – Adding Field Installation to a Quote
  1. Create or open a quote.
  2. Click Add New Line Item.
  3. Select the Field Install product.
  4. Add the product to the quote.

If desired, you can rename the product to match your company's terminology.

  • Installation Labor

Unit Examples:

  • 1 = One Hour
  • 0.5 = Thirty Minutes
  • 0.25 = Fifteen Minutes
