Additionally, the add-on features convenient square foot pricing, simplifying cost calculations and making budget management more efficient. Enhance your vehicle wrap projects with the unmatched convenience and functionality of the "Vehicle Wrap" add-on from shopVOX.
Getting Started
To begin using the Vehicle Wrap add-on, you'll first need to obtain it. You can check the pricing for this add-on by visiting this [LINK] and locating it in the pricing table. Once you've made your decision, simply email billing@shopvox.com, and they will assist you in acquiring the add-on.
Once you have the Vehicle Wrap add-on enabled, let's learn how to use this new feature.
Setting it up
To get the Vehicle Wrap product up and running, you'll need a few items:
- An example vehicle to be stored as a template.
- Vinyl and laminate materials for the vehicle wrap body.
- Vinyl,Perforated and laminate materials for the vehicle wrap windows.
Let's start by adding a vehicle template. This will ensure we have a ready-to-use template when we test out our product.
Adding a Vehicle template to your library
Adding a vehicle to your library is an efficient way to store detailed information about the vehicle, along with a scaled PDF and Adobe Illustrator template file. Follow these steps to do it:
- Got to settings
- Select "Vehicles" from the left hand side
- From the "Vehicles" screen, click "+ Add New Vehicle"
- You will see this blank "New Vehicle" form, where the details about the vehicle can be inputted.
- I am using example data for this demonstration. Please feel free to use your own measurements.
- Once complete, click "Save Vehicle"
- Once the vehicle has been save two new options will become available. This is so you can store a Measurement File, and and Adobe Illustrator File
- Add the measurement file, ensuring it is at a 1:20 scale with a 72 DPI resolution. You can drag and drop the PDF or locate it on your computer.Understanding 1:20 Scale and 72 DPI1:20 Scale: This means that one unit of measurement on the scaled-down version of your template represents 20 units in real life. For example, 1 inch on the template equals 20 inches on the actual vehicle. This scale allows for accurate representation and easy adjustments when working with large objects like vehicles.72 DPI (Dots Per Inch): DPI measures the resolution of the image. 72 DPI means that there are 72 dots (or pixels) per inch. This resolution is typically used for screen displays and provides sufficient detail for digital templates while keeping the file size manageable. For print materials, a higher DPI might be necessary, but 72 DPI is adequate for on-screen design and layout purposes.
- Optionally, you can add the Adobe Illustrator file for the designers' convenience to access later. However, this does not affect the functionality of the vehicle wrap add-on.
- When completed click "Update Vehicle"
Setting up a Vehicle Wrap Product
Setting up a product to be used with the Vehicle Wrap add-on is straightforward. It’s best to start by adding a vehicle to your vehicle library. If you haven’t done so already, please refer to the instructions above titled "Adding a Vehicle Template to Your Library."
- Go to "Settings"
- Select "Products" from the left hand side
- lets click "+ Add New Product"
- Choose "Create a Custom Product"
- Fill in all the details, ensure that you have picked "Vehicle Wrap" for the interface, once complete click "Save Product"
- After you click "Save Product," a new screen will appear under "Configure Pricing." This is where you will set up the Body, Windows, and Other Charges.
- For the Body, add in any Vinyls, and Laminates
- Add Vinyls
- Add Laminates
- Enter the cost, markup, and price associated with the body portion of the vehicle wrap.
- For the Windows, add in any Vinyls, Perforated, and Laminates
- Add Vinyls and/or Perforated
- Add Laminates
- Enter the cost, markup, and price associated with the Window portion of the vehicle wrap.
- Finally lets add any labor rates to the Product. For simplicity I am adding in a Simple, Average, or Complex option.
Testing your new Vehicle Wrap Product
- Go to "Check Pricing" to sample your new Vehicle Wrap Product
- Select the Make, Model, Type and Year of Vehicle
- You can now see the interface you configured, which will allow you to try out all the options
- For the body, select your materials and choose your locations. You can see the price for the body updating in real time.
- For the Windows, select your materials and choose your locations. You can see the price for the body updating in real time.
- For any additional charges click "+ Add Charge". You can add as many charges as you want. Adjusting the Quantity will affect the Total Price
- Here is our test: you can clearly see the Body, Windows, and Charges sections, each with their respective cost, markup, and price, all added together for the final selling price.
- Now try your product out on a Quote
- Download the PDF to see the output
