Steps

Step 1 – Open the Notepad Digital Product
  1. Navigate to Settings → Products.
  2. Locate and select Notepad Digital.
  3. Open the product to review and edit its pricing configuration.

The Notepad Digital product is built using the Grid User Interface (Grid UI), which functions similarly to a spreadsheet.

Step 2 – Access the Pricing Grid
  1. Open the product and click Configure Pricing.
  2. Review the Grid UI pricing matrix.
  3. Enable Show Cost Column if you wish to view internal production costs.
  4. Review the Unit Price column, which contains customer-facing selling prices.

The pricing grid stores all pricing combinations for notepad quantities and sizes.

Step 3 – Understand the Pricing Structure

The Notepad Digital product uses a 2D Grid, meaning pricing is determined by two variables:

  1. Quantity
    • The number of notepad sets being ordered.
    • Example: 250, 500, 1,000 sets.
  2. Size
    • The size of the finished notepad.
    • Example: Different available notepad formats and dimensions.

Each combination of quantity and size corresponds to a specific price in the grid.

Step 4 – Review Cost and Pricing Values
  1. Locate the desired quantity and size combination.
  2. Review the Cost value (if the cost column is enabled).
  3. Update the Unit Price value as needed.
  4. Save any changes.

The Cost column represents your internal production cost, while the Unit Price represents the amount charged to the customer.

Step 5 – Understand Quantity Breakpoints
  1. Review the Use Quantity Breakpoints option.
  2. Determine how your product is sold before enabling this feature.

Quantity breakpoints are designed for products sold individually, such as:

  • 1 to 500 units at one price
  • 501 to 1,000 units at another price

For the standard Notepad Digital product, pricing is based on sets, so the Use Quantity Breakpoints option is typically not used.

Step 6 – Export and Bulk Edit Pricing
  1. Click Export Grid.
  2. Download the generated CSV file.
  3. Open the file in Excel or another spreadsheet application.
  4. Update cost and pricing values as needed.
  5. Save the file.
  6. Import the updated CSV back into shopVOX.

Bulk editing through CSV is often much faster than updating individual grid cells directly within the application.

Step 7 – Verify Pricing Using Check Pricing
  1. Click Check Pricing.
  2. Select a Quantity.
  3. Select a Size.
  4. Review the calculated selling price.

Example:

  • Quantity: 500
  • Size: Selected notepad size

The displayed unit price reflects the values stored in the pricing grid.

Notes & Tips

🔹 Tip: Use the Export Grid feature when updating numerous prices. Editing a CSV file is usually much faster than making changes directly in the Grid UI.

🔹 Tip: Enable the Show Cost Column option to monitor profit margins while setting customer pricing.

⚠️ Warning: The Use Quantity Breakpoints setting is intended for products sold as individual units. Most Notepad Digital configurations are sold as sets and do not require this option.

⚠️ Warning: After importing a revised pricing file, always use Check Pricing to verify that your pricing imported correctly.
