Create Standard box sizes and weights that You use everyday!

Adding a Shipping Profile can save a lot of time when creating a Shipment Label.

If you ship out a lot of boxes and you find you are entering the SAME sizes

every... single....time... Use the Shipping Profile setting to save yourself some time!!

Shipping Profiles Setting

These profiles will create the ability to set up a Product with a standard weight and shipping container, so the shipping label will automatically choose the container and calculate the number of boxes needed based on the weight of the product and the quantity of items being shipped.

How to set this up

Step 1

Set up common size boxes for shipping by going to Settings > Shipping > Profiles section. Enter the container name, dimensions and weight capacity.

Step 2

Set up the product details and select the shipping profile for the product. This will be done by entering information on the Basic settings and Advanced settings tabs.

Basic settings tab

After selecting the Product, click on the Basic settings tab and enter the Weight and Unit of measure(UOM) for 1 unit. In this example, the Yard sign has a standard size and weight.

NOTE: This may not work if the product has variable materials and sizes which would cause the weight to vary. An overall average weight could be used to compensate for this, if the size is always the same.

Advanced settings tab

On the advanced setting tab, select the Profile for this product.

Setup complete

This product will now calculate the number of boxes needed when creating a shipping label.

How it works

Using this Yard signs product, see below how the shipping tab calculates the number of boxes required to be shipped. This transaction has a quantity of 100 yard signs at .5 lb. each, which equates to 50 lbs. The Coro box profile will hold 10 lbs. The shipping tab shows 5 boxes needed for this to be shipped out.
