In shopVOX, a Product encompasses the final item or service delivered to your customers. This encompasses a wide range, from tangible products like banners, business cards, or t-shirts, to intangible services like graphic design or sign maintenance. Essentially, anything your business manufactures or offers can be managed within shopVOX and included in your products list, which serves as your business's pricing catalog. Maintaining a consistent price list enables all team members to generate accurate quotes and process orders efficiently.

Certain products in shopVOX may entail assembly using various components such as labor and raw materials. These components can be individually priced, allowing the total product cost to be calculated as the sum of its parts. For example:

When selling a rigid sign to a customer, it's listed as the final product on the quote. The product's price is then determined by its constituent raw materials, which may include substrate, vinyl, laminate, hardware, and labor costs.

It's important to note that raw materials aren't directly listed as line items on a quote. Instead, they're incorporated into a product template, and the product itself is what appears on the quote.

Setting Up Your Products in shopVOX

Within your shopVOX account, you have the option to utilize our pre-made products called the Golden Products or create your own list of items. These pre-made products are categorized into three main groups: Signage, Apparel, and Services. These categories serve as standardized products that can be customized to align with your specific market needs. Additionally, you have the flexibility to generate your own unique products within the system.

Accessing the Product List

  1. To access the products list, navigate to the Settings icon and select Products. From there, you can either incorporate pre-made items or initiate the creation of your own products tailored to your business requirements.
  2. Click on the "+Add New Product "
  3. You will see the Add New Product screen
  4. On the Left hand Side are the pre-made Golden Products
  5. The blue link to "Create a Custom Product" is near the bottom
