The Installation Job Board is a powerful scheduling tool in shopVOX designed to help you organize and manage your installations and installer assignments efficiently. It provides a centralized view of all installation steps across jobs, lets you assign team members, view availability, and optimize install schedules using a dedicated visual calendar.

Setup Guide

To use the Installation Job Board effectively, make sure the following setup steps are completed:

1.Set Your Business Hours

  • Go to: Settings > Account > Business Hours
  • Ensure your company's working hours are defined so the board aligns with your schedule.

2. Assign Installers

  • Navigate to: Settings > Team > Users
  • Select a user and enable the “Installer” toggle for any team members who should be a schedulable as installers.

3. Create or Edit a Workflow with an Install Stage

  • Go to: Settings > Workflows
  • Select a workflow or create a new one, and include a stage specifically for Installation.
  • Once you select the Install Stage, you will see the "Install" step appear there. Be sure to click "Update Template"

Create a Job from a Sales Order

  • In a Sales Order:
    • Add a line item and click “Create Job”
    • Select the workflow that includes the Install stage (or set it as the default for install-related products)
    • Add the Installation Address
    • Enter any Installation Details in the designated Install field
    • Set an Install Due Date – even a tentative date is helpful
    • Click "Save & Show Job"
    • Assign an Installer (must be a user marked as an installer)
All of this information will display automatically on the Installation Job Board for streamlined scheduling and review.

Installation Job Board Features

  • From the Top Navigate to Jobs/Installs
    The screen will displays all jobs with an Installation stage
  • Navigate by Day, Week, 2 Weeks, Month, or Year
  • Toggle views:
    • Users – displays installer schedules
    • Machines – shows equipment-related availability
  • Job Info:
    • See Job and Sales Order number, as well as the Line Item Name
    • Color Indicators:
      • ✅ Solid color: Confirmed Install Date
      • ⚠️ Striped: Unconfirmed Install Date
    • Hover to see Information
      • Installer(s)
      • Location
      • Details
  • Map View:
    • If a job has an install address, a map icon will appear
    • Clicking it opens Google Maps for quick navigation
  • Filters:
    • Easily filter and locate jobs by user, machine, or unscheduled status
