Introduction

The DTG Apparel Golden Product allows you to quote decorated apparel by combining catalog garments, DTG decoration pricing, optional add-on services, and custom production details into a single workflow. This product helps standardize apparel estimating while providing flexibility for different garment styles, print sizes, locations, and service options. Steps

Step 1 – Open the DTG Apparel Product
  1. Navigate to Settings → Products.
  2. Locate DTG Apparel in your product list.
  3. Open the product.
  4. Click Configure Pricing.
Step 2 – Review Catalog Configuration

  1. Navigate to Settings → Catalogs.
  2. Review your Managed Catalogs.
  3. Verify that the apparel catalogs you plan to use are active.
  4. Add custom catalogs if needed.

The DTG Apparel product uses catalog-based garment selection, allowing users to choose actual apparel styles during quoting. The apparel catalog controls garment selection, while decoration pricing is managed separately within the DTG Apparel product.

Step 3 – Configure DTG Decoration Pricing
  1. Return to the Configure Pricing section.
  2. Locate the Pricing Matrix section.
  3. Review the available DTG print types.
  4. Verify pricing for:
    • Light Garments
    • Dark Garments
    • Print Sizes
    • Quantity Breaks
  5. Add additional quantity breakpoints if required.
  6. Add additional print types if your production workflow requires them.

The pricing matrix determines the DTG decoration price based on garment type, print size, and quantity.

Step 4 – Configure Decoration Locations
  1. Review the Location section.
  2. Verify the available print locations.
  3. Add or modify locations as needed.

Examples may include:

  • Full Front
  • Left Chest
  • Full Back
  • Sleeve
  • Neck Label

These locations identify where the DTG print will be applied.

Step 5 – Configure Optional Charges
  1. Locate the Options section.
  2. Review existing add-on services.
  3. Edit pricing using the available edit functions.
  4. Duplicate options to create new services.
  5. Enable the options you want available during quoting.

Examples include:

  • Complex Artwork
  • Difficult Artwork
  • Rush Service
  • Folding & Bagging
  • Pretreatment Charges
  • Special Material Handling

These options add additional charges to the garment price.

Step 6 – Configure Catalog Settings
  1. Navigate to the Catalog Settings section.
  2. Enable any custom catalogs that should be available for this product.
  3. Save your configuration.

This determines which garment catalogs users can select when building quotes.

Step 7 – Build a DTG Quote
  1. Create a new quote or sales order.
  2. Select DTG Apparel as the product.
  3. Choose a Catalog.
  4. Select a garment Style.
  5. Choose the garment Color.
  6. Enter garment quantities by size.

The system will automatically calculate garment pricing based on the selected catalog item.

Step 8 – Add Additional Styles or Colors
  1. Click Copy Style to duplicate an existing garment.
  2. Change the color if needed.
  3. Enter the new size quantities.
  4. Repeat as required.

You may also add completely different garment styles while using the same decoration setup.

Step 9 – Configure DTG Decorations
  1. Locate the Locations section.
  2. Click the Pencil Edit icon.
  3. Select DTG as the decoration method.
  4. Choose the print location.
  5. Select the desired print type.
  6. Save the decoration.

The quantity will automatically calculate based on the garment quantities entered above.

Step 10 – Add Multiple Decoration Locations
  1. Click Add Location.
  2. Select another print location.
  3. Configure the DTG decoration settings.
  4. Save the new location.

Use this process when printing in multiple areas, such as:

  • Front and Back
  • Left Chest and Full Back
  • Sleeve and Front
Step 11 – Apply Optional Charges
  1. Open the Options section.
  2. Click the Pencil Edit icon.
  3. Select the desired add-on service.
  4. Save the option.

Option quantities automatically populate based on garment quantities and apply pricing accordingly.

Step 12 – Enter Custom Field Information
  1. Navigate to the Custom Fields section.
  2. Enter any production-specific instructions.
  3. Add placement details if required.
  4. Include any customer-facing notes.

Examples include:

  • Exact print placement instructions
  • Special handling requirements
  • Production notes
  • Customer specifications

Custom fields are informational and do not directly affect pricing.

Step 13 – Review the Pricing Breakdown
  1. Click Pricing Breakdown.
  2. Review garment costs.
  3. Review decoration pricing.
  4. Review option charges.
  5. Verify the final selling price.

The pricing breakdown displays:

  • Garment Cost
  • Garment Selling Price
  • Decoration Charges
  • Option Charges
  • Amortized Pricing Calculations

This allows you to understand exactly how the final quote was generated.

Step 14 – Save the Line Item
  1. Save the DTG Apparel line item.
  2. Review the summary grid generated by the system.
  3. Verify sizes, quantities, and pricing.

The line-item summary provides a quick overview of the selected styles, quantities, and associated pricing.
