Steps

Step 1 – Open the Envelope Golden Product
  1. Navigate to Settings → Products.
  2. Locate and select Envelope Golden.
  3. Open the product to review and edit its pricing structure.
Step 2 – Review Product Configuration Options
  1. Locate the product settings above the pricing grid.
  2. Review the available configuration checkboxes.
  3. Enable or disable options as needed.

Key options include:

  • Show Cost Column – Displays your internal production cost.
  • Unit Price – Displays the customer selling price.
  • Use Quantity Breakpoints – Enables pricing tiers based on quantity ranges.
Step 3 – Understand Quantity Breakpoints
  1. Review the Use Quantity Breakpoints option.
  2. Enable this setting only when pricing is based on quantity ranges.
  3. Configure quantity brackets as needed.

Example:

  • 1–250 envelopes
  • 251–500 envelopes
  • 501–1,000 envelopes

For most envelope products sold in fixed box quantities (250, 500, 1,000, etc.), quantity breakpoints are typically not required.

Step 4 – Understand the Grid Structure
  1. Scroll to the pricing grid.
  2. Review the three pricing data points used by the product.

The grid is organized as follows:

  • Rows: Quantity
  • Columns: Ink Color
  • Tabs: Envelope Size and Type

This structure creates a 3D Grid Product, where pricing is determined by the combination of all three selections.

Step 5 – Edit Pricing Directly in the Grid
  1. Locate the appropriate envelope type tab.
  2. Select the desired quantity row.
  3. Find the corresponding ink color column.
  4. Enter or update pricing directly in the cell.

Each cell represents a unique combination of quantity, ink color, and envelope type.

Step 6 – Export the Grid for Bulk Updates
  1. Locate the Export CSV option.
  2. Export the pricing grid.
  3. Open the CSV file in Excel or another spreadsheet application.
  4. Update pricing and cost values as needed.
  5. Save the file.

Exporting is recommended when maintaining large pricing tables spanning multiple envelope styles.

Step 7 – Test Pricing Using Check Pricing
  1. Click Check Pricing.
  2. Select a Quantity.
  3. Select an Ink Color option.
  4. Select an Envelope Size and Type.
  5. Review the calculated selling price.

The system automatically references the correct grid cell based on the selected combination.

Notes & Tips

🔹 Tip: Use CSV export/import when updating multiple envelope styles. It is much faster than editing each cell individually.

🔹 Tip: Maintain both cost and selling price values to accurately track profitability.

🔹 Tip: Use Check Pricing after importing changes to verify pricing is pulling from the correct grid location.

⚠️ Warning: Editing grid values directly impacts future quotes and orders that use this product.

⚠️ Warning: Do not alter the CSV structure when exporting and re-importing data, as this can cause import failures.

⚠️ Warning: Verify all three data points (Quantity, Ink Color, and Envelope Type) before testing pricing to ensure accurate results.
