But did you know that shopVOX also offers a free Customer Portal (cPortal), designed to strengthen the connection between you and your customers? This free cPortal provides a seamless way for your clients to interact with their orders, review jobs, and approve proofs—right from their own dashboard. While it shares many features with the powerful paid Ecommerce add-on, the free version focuses on enhancing communication and transparency by allowing customers to track their jobs and transactions, without displaying products for purchase.

Imagine giving your clients access to a custom, branded portal where they can stay updated on every aspect of their order, without needing to reach out directly. How to Enable the Free cPortal for a Customer:

  1. Go to Customers
    • From the main toolbar, select "Customers."
  2. Choose a Customer
    • Find and select the Customer for whom you want to activate the free cPortal.
  3. Enable Customer Portal
    • Click the blue action button and choose "Enable Customer Portal."
  4. Edit Portal Settings
    • Once the cPortal is enabled for the Customer, click the pencil icon to access and adjust the available settings.
  5. View cPortal Options
    • You can now view the cPortal options for that Customer.

Enabling the Free cPortal for a Contact:

  1. Open Customer Information
    • From the Customer screen, click "Show All Information."
  2. Locate Contacts
    • Scroll down to the "Contacts" section at the bottom of the page.
  3. Select a Contact
    • Choose the contact you'd like to enable the cPortal for.
  4. Activate the Free Customer Portal
    • Using the blue action button, select "Enable Customer Portal."
  5. Login Credentials
    • A login and password for the cPortal will be automatically generated and sent to the contact’s email address. This information will also appear on the Contact’s screen.
  6. Return to Customer Screen
    • Click the link at the top of the page to return to the Customer screen.
  7. Access the free cPortal
    • Once back on the Customer screen, click "Show All Information" to reveal the link to the cPortal.
    • Click the link to access the portal.

Free cPortal - Logging In:

  • After clicking the link, you’ll be taken to the cPortal login screen.
    Enter the provided credentials to log in and access the portal.
  • This is the screen your Customers Contact will see once logged in.
  • Once logged in, your customer will have access to the following features:
    • Order Status: Customers can view all orders that are in process from their dashboard.
    • Job Board: They can access their job board to track ongoing jobs.
    • Transactions: All transactions specific to the logged-in user can be viewed.
    • Proof Approvals: Customers can review, reject, or approve proofs directly from the cPortal.
